PHILADELPHIA – Navy extended its winning streak to eight over its biggest rival after the Midshipmen beat Army 17-3 in Philadelphia, Pa., on Dec. 12.

Navy quarterback Ricky Dobbs led the Mids back from a 3-point halftime deficit, rushing for one touchdown and throwing for another. His fourth quarter rushing touchdown, which gave him 24 for the season, broke the NCAA single-season record for a quarterback.

Army’s defense led many to think the Black Knights might end their losing streak to Navy as they shut out the Midshipmen in the first half. The Mids owned the second half, though, as Army couldn’t capitalize on a couple drives and score more than a field goal.

Running down to speak to the players and coaches in the locker room. Will have an extended game story later.
