UNLV used a barrage of 3-pointers to overcome a first half deficit and hand Air Force their sixth-straight loss last night in Las Vegas.
Air Force (8-10, 0-6 Mountain West) was led by junior Tom Fow and senior Grant Parker, who each finished with 11 points. The Falcons were ahead by three points at the half before UNLV’s Kendall Wallace knocked down four consecutive 3-pointers early in the second half to help give the Runnin’ Rebels a lead they would not relinquish.

Here’s the box score.
The loss was Air Force’s 22nd consecutive defeat in MWC regular season contests. Denver Post columnist Irv Moss examined the Falcons’ recent struggles in a column yesterday, and he found a lot of optimism from coach Jeff Reynolds and athletic director Hans Mueh, who each indicated they felt the program is closer to turning around than it might appear from the outside.
