Before he created the most loathed college program in America the most successful college program of the past 25 years at Duke, Krzyzewski played ball at West Point and later coached the Black Knights. He was a captain on the 1968-69 team that made it to the NIT, and during his run as coach from 1975-1980, Krzyzewski was 73-59. In 1978 he coached the Black Knights to the NIT, the last postseason berth for Army.
stop hating coach k. who cares if his rival from down the street has won two national titles since he’s last been to the final four, he’s still an olympic champion. i mean, it must have been really hard to get kobe bryant, dwight howard, lebron james, and dwayne wade to win against some chinese and french guys, but they pulled it off!
