No relief in sight for Air Force

There’s not a lot to discuss about Air Force’s 38-7 loss at TCU. The fourth-ranked Horned Frogs ran all over the Falcons, racking up 562 total yards while holding the Air Force ground attack — playing its first game without injured fullback Jared Tew — in check. The Falcons finished 142 yards below their season average on the ground, and Tim Jefferson’s first quarter touchdown was the only score on the evening (on the bright side, it’s actually the first TD allowed by TCU in the month of October).

The road ahead doesn’t get much easier for Air Force. The Falcons host 7th-ranked Utah on Saturday. The Utes are unbeaten, and have the third-highest scoring offense in the country, averaging 47.7 points per game. Utah also has a stingy defense, and rank fourth in the nation in points allowed (12.9)

“We have to find some way to get better and do our jobs,” quarterback Tim Jefferson told the Denver Post. “If we play the same way against Utah as we did against TCU, the score is going to be the same exact way.”

  1. Don’t forget, every athlete who competes wearing Air Force Blue is special, they’re much bigger than “the game” and all are incredible individuals!
