It’s the first week of college basketball season and Navy’s team is already getting some national attention. Fox Sports writer Jeff Goodman compiled a list of the top 50 college basketball marksmen and listed Navy senior guard Chris Harris 21st.
Harris made 85 3-point baskets his junior year and has shot 40 percent from behind the arc over his last 51 games. Expectations are high for his senior year as he was chosen as the preseason Patriot League Player of the Year.
Arkansas sophomore guard Rotnei Clarke topped the list, shooting 39 percent from behind the arc his freshman season. However, there are some heady names sitting behind Harris. Duke guard Jon Scheyer (No. 34) and Oklahoma guard Willie Warren (No. 25) are listed behind the Navy senior. Both could find themselves on All-American teams by the end of the season.
