It’s raining, heavily, in the San Diego area, and that means the river next to Qualcomm Stadium is overflowing, leaving the field a mess. Nonetheless, Poinsettia Bowl officials said tonight that they’re pressing ahead with tomorrow’s bowl game, scheduled to kick off at 8 p.m. and air on ESPN.
According to The Associated Press, the scene on Wednesday at Qualcomm was pretty nasty, with the field under a foot of water — or more.
The rain has forced the teams to practice in ballrooms as opposed to on the field. I’m sure the Mids are excited to be facing this quagmire.
