Navy football has existed outside the mess of conference alignment for more than a century. Now, two-plus years before it joins the Big East, Navy fans have reason to pay attention to who’s moving where. And if they’re paying attention, they’re not liking what they’re seeing. First, Rutgers announced it would leave the conference to join the Big Ten in 2014, a year before the Mids make the move to the Big East. Then, rumors swirled that the Atlantic Coast Conference could poach either Connecticut or Louisville from the Big East to fill a spot left by Maryland, which is…

Navy had held the CIC Trophy since taking it from Air Force seven seasons ago.  According to The (Colorado Springs) Gazette, the trophy will be picked up from Annapolis on Sunday and arrive on Air Force’s campus sometimes this…

Navy beat East Carolina 76-35 on Saturday. Nevertheless, ECU’s athletic department churned out a highlight reel of the game, complete with a dramatic musical score, just hours after the embarrassing defeat. There needs to be an NCAA rule against this. I mean, other than scoring 76 motherlovin’ points, Navy also managed to rush for 521 goshdug yards. Both the points and the rushing yards were the second-most ever against ECU. Seriously, they posted this to YouTube?
